Behind the Scenes: Max will do anything to get ratings. Simone will sleep with any producer to get the gig. They suit each other. That is filmmaking!
From the makers of THE JAMMED
This film was produced by award winning Melbourne film makers Dee McLachlan and Andrea Buck – and directed by McLachlan. They burst into the Australian film scene with their critically acclaimed 2007 sex trafficking thriller, The Jammed.
“I get upset about all the violence in the world and the way it is regularly portrayed in the news, which so often exacerbates our fears and suspicion of other cultures. At the same time there is an avalanche of reality television shows - so much so that we seem to have become blinded to the real challenges facing the world,” says McLachlan.
The film originated from the script called “Terri & Azim”, then morphed into its present form when one of the team, co-producer Lenny de Vries, mentioned “Who Wants To Be A Terrorist” a spoof of the ‘Who Wants To Be A Millionaire’ show format.
Mclachlan used many of the original crew from The Jammed (Cinematographer - Peter Falk, Costume designer – Jill Johanson and Sound recordist – Rob Hornbuckle) to get principal photography done in 8 days. “We could only do this because I had a great crew and very talented actors” says McLachlan
